Subject: Some thoughts
Subject: Some thoughts
I enjoyed very much the first two chapters (and the last one up to a point) in style coupled with what they contained - and the whole book makes sense
...
only as an attempt at introduction (let alone as showing what the title of it suggests), but I guess this is close to what the intention of the author was. I found the later chapters a bit too repetitive, cheap in style, and too simple (dear gracious heaven, though I can make sense of Russell's Plato, I can never understand the utter mockery of Hegelian philosophy that he makes). Note to myself: I never thought that Hume had this much influence on Russell (and early Wittgenstein). All in all, I will recommend this book only as a holiday read to munch on something so that the brain does not rot on doziness, nothing else. [Please don't hunt me, Russy's spirit, I will hex you with mysticism! :3]
